Shaping the Future: Inland Health Professions Coalition

ABOUT US—Connecting the Dots: The Inland Health Professions Coalition (IHPC) is a division of Reach Out working with industry partners, health educators, and the community to address the need for a highly skilled and culturally competent health workforce in the Inland Empire. IHPC utilizes a work-based solution for developing the Inland Empire Health Workforce. Work-based learning is defined as using any educational environment where students are able to apply the skills learned in the classroom to the external environment. Students interact with industry professionals, explore career options, and develop technical/soft skills. IHPC offers awareness of the need for health professionals through industry speakers, exploration of careers through hands workplace site visits, preparation for a career via career seminars and college fairs, and training through the LIFE Internship, shadowing, and clinical experience.
